California Sushi Bowl – A very full bowl of sushi fixin’s, what more could you want.
Avocado, tofu, shiitake, sliced radishes, shredded carrots, green onion, cucumbers, & nori.
Served on top of sushi seasoned sticky rice and topped with rice ball seasoning, shiso furikake.

  • Sushi rice (prepared, seasoned with sushi rice vinegar)
  • Tofu marinated
  • 2-3 dried shiitake (reconstituted)
  • Avocado
  • 1 sliced radish
  • 1 small shredded carrot
  • 1/2 chopped cucumber
  • 2 green onions
  • Nori seaweed snacks or sushi wrappers
  • Rice ball seasoning / i.e. shiso furikake

Cook sushi rice as instructed. Marinate tofu. Reconstitute shiitake mushrooms. After about 15 minutes, start searing tofu in cast iron pan. Sautee shiitake mushrooms in butter and garlic, and/or with broth if desired. Prepare and cut veggies, making them as thin as possible and in bite size pieces.

When rice is finished, stir in sushi vinegar and/or shiso furikake if desired. Put in a bowl and top with tofu, shiitake, avocado, veggies, crumble nori on top and add any extra seasoning as desired.
